It was Warne who won the toss and elected to bat.Dinda took the wicket of Lumb and send Royals to the backfoot.But they recovered very well from that and went to score 168 in their 20 overs.Yusuf Pathan was send to the dugout very quickly by Dinda.But Riders start was too slow and they never recovered from it and lost the match by 34 runs.

It was Dhoni who won he toss and elected to bat.But Ishant gave a perfect start to Knight Riders by sending Hayden to the dug out.Shukla took the wicket of Murali Vijay and Brad Hodge send Raina to the dug out soon after Vijay.Kings were 59 for 3 after 10 overs.At that time Eden crouds were smelling another victory of KKR.But it was captain cool and Badrinath who played a marvellous innings to took the Kings score to 164 in their 20 overs.The total was not to big to chase for Ridersbut they need a perfect start.But Riders lost their openers within the first two overs.Then they were send to the dark patch when Balaji send Owasis Shah and Wridhiman to the dugout very soon and Riders lost their 4 wickets before scoring 50 runs.But Dada was still out their and the hopes were still alive for the Riders.But when dada got out by going to hit Kemp for a six the hopes were gone.Finally Riders were bowled out for 109 in 19.2 overs.

Manoj Tiwary proved he can open the innings

Tiwary played an awesom innings to take Knight Riders to their second straight win.He scored 50runs just in 29 balls.There was lots of Questions about Manoj.Many of us thought that Manoj shouuld come in the middle stage.But the manner in which he treated Kallis,Steyn and Praveen Kumar in this match it proved that he can open the innings too.

Kolkata Knight Riders won their first home match in 2010 IPL by defeating Bangalore Royal Challengers.After wining the toss Sourav send Bangalore to bat.It was Charl Langavelt who took the first wicket of Bangalore Royal Challengers.Sourav captaincy was again great to watch.He made some pefect bowling changes to send the Royals batsmant in the dugout.Angelo Mathews took 4 wickets by giving only 19runs in his 4 overs.He took the important wicket of Rahul Dravid.Ishant Sharma,Murali Kartik and Langavelt give him a good support.Kartik picked up 2 wickets,Langavelt took 1 wicket and Ishant Sharma was wicket less though he bowled very well.Challengers were restricted to a total of 135 in their 20 overs.Riders Openers started the innings in bang.Manoj Tiwary scored a fine half century in just 29 balls.Brad Hodge also scored a half century.Tiwary and Hodge put up a hundred partnership before Tiwary getting out to Van de Merwe.Hodge was also dismmised by Merwe after just completing his half century.Then Pujara and Ganguly made a small partnership before Ganguly getting out to Pravven Kumar when Riders needed only 3 runs for victory.Owasis Shah takes Riders to victry with 4 balls to spare.It was Knight Riders who played good cricket throughout the game and won it by 7 wickets.

Riders need to have some gamble

Knight Riders after a fine win against Deccan needs to improve their fielding as their fielding was not upto the mark against Deccan.We also needs to change our batting order.Manoj Tiwary should come in the middle order and Sourav should open with Brad Hodge.Riders needs to take some gamble in this match.I think the biggest gamble for Riders will be sending somebody like Vignesh to open the innings with Sourav.Hodge at no 3.This will make the middle order more stronger and if dada and Vignesh give us a nice start than we can easily reach to a total like 180-200.But it will be not be so easy to reach to a total like that as I am saying because we should remember that Bangalore has champions like Steyn and Kumble in their bowling department.However Knight Riders needs to play good cricket against Bangalore to keep their good record against them in India.Bangalore will also not leave us a single inch in the field with promising players like Sreevatsav Goshwami,Manish Pandey. They also have a legend like Kallis.As a Knight Riders fan I believe that we will win this match.

Kolkata Knght Riders started their 2010 IPL campaign with a win against Deccan Chargers.It was a dramatic pull back made by the Riders in the last 10 overs in both the innings.Deccan after wining the toss elected to field first.It was Vass who proved in his first over that the descion was a right one by sending Manoj Tiwary on the first ball and Dada soon after in the first over.Hodge and Pujara though pull back the game by adding 31 runs on the board.But RP Singh took Pujara on a ball which became slow due to the surface and Hodge was also send back by Jashprakan Singh soon.Riders were once again send back to the dark patch.But a healthy partnership from Owasis Shah and Angelo Mathews brought Riders on track.Both of them scored half centuries and a century stand between them took Riders to a respectable total of 161 for 4.In last 10 overs both of them scored over 100 runs without losing a wicket.Chargers were set on their charge by Gilchrist and Laksman.In no time they scored 61 runs.Gilchrist was dropped on 2runs by Brad Hodge in slip and in the middle stage of his innings by Charl Langaveldt.Murali Kartik send Laksman to dug out in his first over.But Riders were never in the match when boom boom Gilchrist was going on but soon after his deperture from the crease Chargers middle order were send off by the Riders bowler.Rohit Sharma the hero of IPL 2 for Deccan Chargers played an unusual short against Mathews to get out.Riders got 6 wckets of Deccan Chargers in the last 10 overs of the match by giving less than 60 runs.After that it was only Korbo Lorbo Jethbore for the Riders and they won the match by 11 runs.
